Itech Precision Drilling utilizes direct push technology combined with Macro-Core™ MC5 or dual tube sampling methods to provide the fastest, most accurate, least disruptive, and most cost effective drilling possible.

Dual tube sampling consists of an inner and an outer rod. The outer rod is pushed to the desired depth allowing the inner rod with sampling tube to access the soils below through a clean, sealed hole without being exposed to cross contamination with higher soils.

The Macro-Core system uses similar tooling, but is faster, can extend to greater depth and is capable of sampling flowing sands without jamming. This method utilizes a piston that can be released when the rod string reaches sampling depth allowing the soil sample to enter the tube. The smaller diameter rod string allows for easier penetration into hard, rocky soils.
